Part V: Advanced Doctoral Experience (ADE)
The Advanced Doctoral Experience is a distinct feature of the entry-level OTD curriculum, fulfilling the Doctoral Capstone accreditation requirements. During the ADE process, students are mentored by an individual with expertise consistent with the student’s area of focus. The student’s ADE mentor has demonstrated expertise in one or more of the following areas identified as the student’s focused area of study: clinical practice skills, research skills, administration, leadership, program and policy development, advocacy, education, or theory development.
