6. Select Additional Committee Members
The thesis advisor will help the student to select the other members of the thesis committee. At least two other members are required. The second and third readers may be members of the Institute faculty, qualified members of the IHP research community, or especially qualified and interested individuals affiliated with an outside institution. Outside committee members must be acceptable to the thesis advisor and should not have any conflict of interest with the Institute’s policies. If a thesis project is to be conducted primarily in the Aphasia Center, then one of the clinical faculty who provide supervision in the Aphasia Center must be on the thesis committee.
