DNS 820 Intro to the Clinical Practice

Prerequisite: Doctoral Level. This is an introductory course to the Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP). The focus and intent of the clinical practice doctorate program is the preparation of leaders who will articulate nursing science and integrate knowledge and practice. Students will engage in the national conversation on the newest degree for nurses in advanced practice. Through exploring the essentials of the DNP, students will begin mapping the components of a successful program of study and identify their areas of clinical scholarship. Faculty will guide students in the initiation of a progressive professional portfolio.
