HP 744 Research Methods in Education

Prerequisites: HP712 Foundations of Teaching and Learning or faculty permission. Basic understanding of statistics preferred. Open to non-degree students. This course will introduce students to the general principles of the major modes of inquiry in contemporary educational research. These include but are not limited to experimental, causal comparative, descriptive, qualitative inquiry, and action research models. Students become consumers of research in their fields and learn how to conduct research in their particular educational settings.
